Botanists, nutritionists, chefs, artists and designers come together in a collaborative and itinerant project that aims to recover edible wild plants
Curated by
Plants of ill repute such as nettle and thistle or ignored such as dandelion can be used to spice up and enrich our dishes and are often just a step away. Free and abundant, these plants are often more nutritious than those found in supermarkets and can play a decisive role in the food of the future.
Starting with research in four green areas in the geographical area of Porto and Matosinhos, this activity identifies and maps wild species in a process that includes documentation, training and awareness-raising through the construction of a website, interpretative tours, workshops and a dinner.
