Can the design of a guidebook travel further than the book? Can two competitors share the same logo? What do a TV Chef and a dictator have in common? A Força da Forma is an experimental exhibition that uses short stories about forms, formats and formalities, in an attempt to show some of the identities that Portuguese design has forged over time and the way in which these relate to various kinds of power – democratic, authoritarian, disciplinary, central, peripheral, etc.
