Cycle of debates that revisits the disused board game “Petróleo'' to problematise the process of dismantling and decontaminating the land of the Matosinhos refinery. For the event, a new board and pieces of “Petróleo” will be produced and, in parallel to the game, the legacy and challenges of the oil refinery will be discussed. The event will result in a podcast.

Inês Moreira is an architect, curator, lecturer and Principal Researcher in Visual Arts at the Laboratory of Landscapes, Heritage and Territory at the University of Minho. For this project they are teaming up with Carlos Aguiar (designer) and Nuno Maio (designer).
Joana Rafael is an architect and researcher who develops interdisciplinary work on the relationship between architecture, ecology, urban and digital culture, social and natural sciences and energy technologies.
